Caerdav

Caerdav

Caerdav is one of the only truly independent, fully approved and certified aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) organisations in the UK.

Started by our Chairman, Bruce Dickinson – a passionate and avid aviator and the lead singer of Iron Maiden – Caerdav is based in St. Athan, South Wales, operating from a former RAF maintenance base equipped with a 6,000ft runway.

Our modern MRO facility – Twin Peaks – houses a team of highly-skilled technicians and engineers, all certified to carry out varied maintenance work on a range of different commercial aircraft, including Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320 family.

With a staff of close to 200, the company is rapidly expanding, working with some of the most recognisable aviation businesses in the world, including Europe’s largest airline, Ryanair.

To provide a pathway for those looking to join our dynamic engineering industry, Caerdav started its own Aerospace Apprenticeship Programme in 2020. Now well established, with graduates entering the workforce, the scheme was crowned winner of the 2024 Apprenticeship Programme Award at the inaugural UK Aviation Awards.

With unrivalled support from our staff on the hangar floor and in the classroom at our affiliated colleges, we have designed our apprenticeship programme to provide a gateway into engineering that will allow those completing the course to work on the very aircraft that keep the world turning.
