The Construction Training Centre has its own purpose made training academy. Due to our recent expansion, we opened an additional centre which was launched by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham in 2013. The centre has close ties with Birmingham City Council, the CITB and many local, national companies and corporations.
The Construction Training Centre focuses on enhancing the skills of young learners, including:
Apprenticeships in the category of 16-18 year old and 19-23 year old in the following disciplines: Construction Operations, Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, Carpentry, Roofing, Interior Systems, Maintenance Operations and Plastering.
Year 10 and 11 – This is a day release programme arranged in conjunction with local schools. Young learners can attain a City and Guilds Qualification, functional skills training and nationally recognised qualifications (Mathematics and English) and receive pre-employment training. We also offer this as a progression route towards the Apprenticeship course, allowing for development and realisation of the learners’ long term goals.
