With a heritage that stretches back to 1823, LJMU is now one of the largest and well-established universities in the UK. Within our five faculties, our research is influencing policymakers, improving people’s lives and finding solutions to the problems of the 21st century.
LJMU is a large city-centre based university with over 28,000 students and over 300 programmes. The university is a distinctive, unique institution, rooted in the Liverpool City Region but with a global presence, with partnerships all over the world offering international experiences for our students.
LJMU’s programmes are split across our five faculties; the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, The Faculty of Business and Law, the Faculty of Health, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
