National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN)
The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) is a leading Awarding Organisation of qualifications in Dental Nurse education and development, delivering awards in both pre-registration and post-registration areas. As a registered charity, we’ve been examining and awarding Dental Nursing qualifications for over 80 years, and ensure that Learners’ knowledge, understanding and practical skills are assessed by highly experienced practitioners.
We work with key regulators – Ofqual, Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment (CCEA) and The General Dental Council (GDC), who recognise NEBDN’s National Diploma and Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing as meeting their Standards for Education, meaning that Learners who achieve it can apply to be registered and work as a Dental Nurse. By upholding these standards, we contribute to maintaining and enhancing patient safety and care.
Our Apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences.
Alongside on-the-job training, Learners spend at least 20% of their working hours completing classroom-based learning with one of our accredited Providers which leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
NEBDN’s Apprenticeship qualification with a Provider provides:
- Paid employment with holiday leave
- Hands-on-experience in a sector/role of interest
- At least 20% off-the-job training
- Formal assessment which leads to a nationally recognised qualification
*Please note NEBDN is the Awarding Organisation, and training is done through an NEBDN accredited training Provider of your choice. More information is available via www.nebdn.org
