Newcastle College is a further and higher education college, offering hundreds of vocational courses, apprenticeships, T-Levels, degrees and Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) to learners across the North East.

Newcastle College offers hundreds of vocational courses, over 60 degrees and 20 apprenticeships across a wide range of sectors. Based in the heart of Newcastle, our learners develop the practical skills and technical knowledge that employers really need, benefitting from fantastic facilities, industry-experienced tutors and small class sizes as they get a head start in their chosen career.

All of our vocational courses, degrees and apprenticeships have been designed with industry in mind to make sure our learners, graduates and apprentices have the skills required to be immediately work-ready in their chosen sector. Our apprentices in particular work closely with leading companies from across the North East, including Port Training Services, WD Close, Waterstons Ltd and other local trailblazers, splitting their time between the workplace and Newcastle College, combining learning, earning and experience to gain all the skills they need to succeed in their career.

In addition, Newcastle College runs four satellite sites which provide specialist industry training. Our Automotive, Aviation, Energy and Rail and Civil Engineering Academies are one-of-a-kind in the North East and are recognised nationwide for the quality of their teaching and graduates. Thanks to the recent £8million funding we have been awarded by the Office for Students (OfS), we have also invested in our facilities, ensuring all our learners have access to the latest industry-standard equipment to guarantee their work-readiness upon completing their programme of study.
