About Youth Employment UK

Non-profit youth employment champions Youth Employment UK are on a mission to connect the dots between young people, employers and careers leaders. If you’re a young person thinking about what’s next, then our expert advice, free skills training, online courses and #CreateYourFuture first jobs database can connect you with all kinds of apprenticeships, training and opportunities from Youth Friendly Employers near YOU to help you take your next steps with confidence. If you’re an employer, teacher or careers leader, we can help you reach and inspire young people at every stage in their career journey. Join our membership community for free. On top of that, our policy and research work and our work as secretariat of the APPG for Youth Employment has helped us develop strong relationships with governmental bodies and policy makers to ensure young people’s needs are factored into youth employment policy – which means everyone can reap the benefit, employers and young people alike. It’s our mission to create a better employment landscape for all young people in the UK.

Career Opportunities

As a young person, what do you get from exploring Youth Employment UK’s free services? Having read this far, you’ll already know about our #CreateYourFuture jobs board. You can find apprenticeships, graduate schemes, work placements, careers events and much more from Youth Friendly Employers. Sign in and see what’s on offer in your area.

You can even find virtual opportunities, wherever you live in the UK! You can also sign in as a Young Professional (it’s free) to explore our expert advice on everything from building skills and looking after your mental health to student finance, exams and applying for jobs with confidence. Thinking about careers you might enjoy? Try our Careers Hub to see how to start building skills and experience for any job you can think of from school onwards, with lots of different routes to get to where you want to be.

Finally, if you want to make a difference, you can volunteer with us as a Youth Ambassador. You can express your opinions to other young people and employers who want to better understand what you need to feel confident about your next steps. One way to do this is through our Youth Voice Census, the biggest annual survey of young people in the UK. You can also take part in amazing activities – like attending the Houses of Parliament!
